Designed by world renowned architect Tom Fazio, the Course was originally constructed in 1988, and underwent a renovation in 2013 to include Mini-Verde Bermuda Greens.

Overlooking one of the highest points in Johns Creek, our practice facilities give you a great area to improve your golf game. Our facilities offer a Driving Range, Putting Green, and Chipping Area.
Pro Instruction
With personalized and individual instruction on the Course, in our Putting Center, or on the Driving Range, our golf professionals can take your game to a whole new level.
Meet Our Golf Staff

Kyle Owen, PGA
St Ives Head Golf Professional
Kyle began his golf career as a playing professional. He competed for nine years and won four professional titles while playing on various Tours. After competing for nine years, Kyle decided it was time to enter the golf business as a golf professional. He became a Class A member of the PGA in 2010. During his time as a Club professional he has competed in the PGA National Championship four different times. In 2017, he was awarded the PGA Player of the Year amongst all golf professionals in Georgia. Aside from being an excellent player his golf staff has twice been awarded the PGA Merchandiser of the Year for private clubs in Georgia.

Mike Simcox
PGA Professional Assistant
Michael is a Class A member of the Professional Golfers Association of America who started with St Ives in 2017. He attended Penn State University and received a B.S. in Professional Golf Management. After graduation in 2008, Michael spent three years as an Assistant Golf Professional commuting between Kalamazoo Country Club and Seminole Golf Club. Michael then became the Director of Junior Golf for Oakmont Country Club, and in 2013, he moved to Ocean Forest Golf Club as the First Assistant Golf Professional and Golf Operations Manager.

Mollie Boney
Director of Instruction
Mollie is a Class A member of the PGA of America and joined St Ives in 2014. Mollie spent four years at Youngstown State University, where she played Division 1 collegiate golf. Alongside athletics and earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, she spent a winter at FITLIFE Athletic Enhancement in Phoenix, Arizona, training a wide variety of athletes. Mollie is a certified Health Fitness Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine, who has worked at The Lake Club, and the Weston Golf Club as an Assistant Golf Professional. Mollie is also certified in 3D Golf Analysis and a Jim McLean Certified Instructor.

Chase Butler
Assistant Golf Professional
Chase is currently working towards becoming a member of the Professional Golfers Association of America and is finishing his Apprentice Level 1 Program. Chase was born and raised in Rome, GA and attended the Georgia Institute of Technology to play baseball. He finished undergrad at Kennesaw State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Business, with a Criminology minor. Before starting at St Ives, Chase worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth. He gained experience there with junior golf, outside operations, and cart fleet management. Chase will be working inside the Golf Shop as well as outside operations.
Agronomy

Tim Busek
Tim comes from The Manor Golf & Country Club where he has been the Superintendent since 2005. Prior to The Manor, he was the Senior Assistant Superintendent for Atlanta Country Club. In addition, he was the Regional Superintendent for several ClubCorp properties; Country Club of the South, White Columns, Atlanta National and Brookfield Country Club. Furthermore, Tim is currently serving on the Board of Directors as President of the Georgia Golf Course Superintendent’s Association.

Whether you need a quick tune up or want to develop a long-term game development program, our Director of Instruction, Mollie Boney, offers a variety of programs and pricing packages to meet each student’s time and budget. From individual sessions to group lessons, St Ives County Club offers instruction for juniors, men, and women. Lessons are available for members and non members of the club.
